TACET produce CDs, LPs, SACDs and DVD-Audios. For each of these four types of sound carriers we have our own special concept and policy:

CDs continue to be the heart of our programme. Virtually every recording made by TACET appears on CD or (hybrid) SACD, which can also be played on any CD player. The CD is an excellent vehicle because it does not alter or falsify the sound of a recording, which was made with such care. Even the most practised of listeners are often unable to detect the difference between the original performance and the recording. The CD sounds natural. It has been in existence since the 1980s: in those days – and even more so in the 90s, and for many people up to today – naturalness was the most important criterion. That was the time when TACET was founded, in 1989 to be precise. Many of our customers value the naturalness of TACET recordings on CD very highly.
