The string quartet universe always offers something new to discover! Much attention was given to the first recording of the Taiwanese composer Jing Peng by the Jade Quartet. And again the Jade Quartet presents something unknown: string quartets by the Vienna composer Peter Barcaba. Peter Barcaba planned to join the recording sessions but passed away a couple of days before in September 2017. Luckily before he was able to show the 4 Chinese, Korean and Polish musicians a lot of details how his music can be understood and how it can be played. The music is as artful in the way of composing as challenging for the players but it sounds understandable and emotional.
